RoHS COMPLIANCY
In January of 2002, the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union released Directive 2002/95/EC addressing the Reduction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) in Electronic and Electrical Equipment. These restrictions apply to Lead, Mercury, Cadmium, Hexavalent Chromium, Polybrominated Biphenyls & Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers used in assemblies for sale within the European Union as from July 1st 2006.
Chemigraphic Ltd has taken a leading role in responding to these directives and is able to offer the processing of both Conventional through Hole and SMT assemblies that need to be RoHS compliant.
At the same time we continue our support of those customers that are currently exempt from the directive. This is achieved through the processes and controls we have in place, as well as investment in capital equipment thereby giving total segregation of material from procurement of parts through to delivery of completed assemblies.
This will enable Chemigraphic to provide both RoHS Compliant and Non RoHS Compliant support for as long as our customers require.
