Chemigraphic gives early Christmas bonus to ‘baby bank’ in Surrey

Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) company Chemigraphic, headquartered at Crawley’s Manor Royal, has donated the proceeds of its 2017 Christmas raffle to Stripey Stork, a baby bank in Surrey.

Stripey Stork supports children and parents experiencing hardship, working in partnership with support services such as children’s centres, health visitors and social service agencies. It collects donations of baby equipment, clothes, toys and other baby essentials and check that they meet current UK safety standards before passing them on to families in need.

The funds donated by Chemigraphic have been used by Stripey Stork to bulk-buy LEGO sets from donated product distributor, In Kind Direct, for its stock of Christmas gifts for 2018. Along with other donated items and gifts, Stripey Stork will collate and distribute items and presents to families and children at Christmas who may not otherwise receive gifts.

Sally Smith, HR Manager at Chemigraphic, says: “Small, local charities such as Stripey Stork do amazing work for people in our community who really need assistance, but as they are less well known than larger charity organisations, they can often be overlooked and struggle to receive sufficient funding. We are thrilled to be able to contribute to Stripey Stork’s 2018 Christmas campaign and we wish them all the best for their activities this year.”
